MAGIC CASTLE TOUR

The Magic Castle is the most famous magic club in the world and is the clubhouse for the Academy of Magical Arts, Inc. (AMA), an organization devoted to the advancement of the art of magic and its history. The tours will be led by Hollywood historian Karie Bible and are considered to be a very special opportunity, as the Magic Castle is a private club and only members and their guests are admitted. This is the first time in the 45 year history of the Magic Castle that public viewing has been offered.

Located in the hills above Hollywood, the Edwardian mansion was built in 1908 as the private residence of banker and real estate mogul Rolling B. Lane, who owned most of Hollywood at the time. After the Lane family moved away in the 1940s, the mansion had a long stint as a retirement home and then as a converted apartment building. It was taken over in 1961 by brothers Milt and Bill Larsen who sought to fulfill their late father's dream of building an elegant private club for magicians to gather and swap trade secrets. Today the Magic Castle has a membership of nearly 6,000 worldwide and hosts nightly performances of the world's finest magicians.

Tours will include VIP admittance to the World Famous Magic Castle, a guide equipped with all of the secrets of the historic mansion, a private magic show by a world class magician, a walk through the incredible Houdini Séance Room, and more!
